Me the conclusion: A New Beginning
Judge Judy Meets Judy Garland
I just love your stories.
You are about to enter the courtroom of Judge Judith Sheindlin. The people are real, the cases are real, the rulings are final. This is Judge Judy.
Bailiff Petri Hawkins-Byrd: We’re here today in the case of the “Wicked Witch of the West” vs. Dorothy Gale. Your honor, the parties have been sworn in. You may be seated.
JJ: Alright. Witchy here is suing Ms. Gale for a dog bite, the cost of a pair of ruby slippers that belonged to her sister who was “killed when Ms. Gale allegedly dropped a house on her” and pain and suffering. Ms. Gale has filed a counter claim for defamation and emotional distress. Begin.
WW: To start, I’m all but lame from the bite on my leg!
JJ: You mean Ms. Gale bit you?
WW: No, her dog.
JJ: She bit her dog?
WW: No! Her dog bit me!
JJ:(Sigh)

It’s Funny Sometimes,
Its funny sometimes,
how the little things matter,
how we listen to gossip,
and mindless chatter
Its funny sometimes,
how we stress for no reason,
we feel down on a Sunday,
or we change with each season
Its funny sometimes,
how we can feel so alone,
wanting someone to visit,
wanting someone to phone
Its funny sometimes,
how we just need a hug,
to scootch up on the sofa,
and cuddle and snug
Its funny sometimes,
when things get us down,
always looking at the floor,
always showing a frown,
Its funny sometimes,
if we just lift our heads,
look at the world,
and smile instead
Embrace every meeting,
enjoy every talk,
sharing those special moments,
laughing together on a nice long walk.
Open our eyes,
and take in every sight,
theres no time for sadness,
its time to fight!
Its funny sometimes,
that everything is fine,
and the people who love you,
have been right here the whole time.
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day?
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You’d better slow down
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,”Hi”
You’d better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift….
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

New Horizons
It’s a beautiful day, a bit chilly but beautiful all the same.
My heart feels lighter, warmer and endless possibilities roll out before me. I can be what I desire to be, I can do whatever I want to do. I have a past but it doesn’t have to design either my future or my relationships.
As a free human, I am a child of the universe and as such have everything that I need to be happy and at peace with myself and with others. There is no need to fear for what must be, will be and all I have to do is to allow myself the pleasure of experiencing everything that the world wants to offer. As the following quote rings in my mind, I open myself to everything that life is.
“I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”

Human Nature.
One of the most tragic things I know about human
nature is that all of us tend to put off living.
We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden
over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses
that are blooming outside our windows today.
Dale Carnegie
Believe in Yourself!
Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities!
Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers,
you cannot be successful or happy.

Feelings, Now by Katherine Foreman
Some kind of attraction that is neither
Animal, vegetable, nor mineral, a power not
Solar, fusion, or magnetic
And it is all in my head that
I could see into his
And find myself sitting there.
As dark as the black fume of smoke comes the night,
as pure as the tender foot of a child comes the morning
with no stain of human activities,
my thought, plans and effort determines the chapter of my day,
my mood at dusk determine the percentage of marks i get from each word and sentence i write in the book of life, nobody can write your page for you unless you let them and you abandon your pen,
pick it up.
